I keep seeing Null as the birthplace in peoples trees. |

It means they don't know where the person was born. I've written that for my Great Uncle's wife as trying to find a Mary Thomas born in Wales is a nightmare. |

I think at one time if I wrote Null the place of birth was left blank. Perhaps this is because Null means "a zero value in several branches of mathematics" (I Googled) |

If you add details manually to your GR the on-screen validation requires you to enter a birth place. Some people enter the word 'Unkown' or similar. |
