I'm not sure what date you're looking for but you can't order a birth cert less than 50 years old without a lot of additional information. |

Sometimes there is an error in the original certificate which later comes to light. This can lead to an ammended entry being made later and the original entry annotated with the quarter and usually the year of ammendment. |

Your friend must be right as I have just checked one in 1967 and it has "s" at the end. |
