I am after advice please. Can anyone tell me where the best place is to look up scottish births, marriages, etc.? Did civil registration start in 1837 the same as ours (I'm assuming it did) and does this work in the same way with ordering certificates? |

familysearch have a lot of Scottish bmds. Some seem to be transcriptions of the civil registers after 1855. Searching on there first can help save credits on Scotlandspeople. |
