Can any one help please, I have a letter from St Michael's church in West Bromwich dated 1981 in which it states that my great grandmother, Ellen Pettitt was born on 9 April 1867 and was baptised on 12 May 1867. The parents names are correct but I cannot find any trace that this birth was registered, therefore I cannot obtain a birth certificate. Is this likely that the birth wasn't registered and has anyone else had this problem? |
