Thanks for helping with grandfathers death info. What is the best way to get a copy of death cert? What is the cost now? Can anyone help to guide me towards tracing where his children went wen he died. It was said Liverpool Seaman's orphanage and his sisters where eventually sent to Canada but I do not know when or where. Can anyone tell me if orphanages and children sent to Canada records are available? Thanks Marie |

Well Barnardos and McPherson Homes sent children to Canada if you have their names you may pick them up on the incoming vessel on the Canadian Home children site .google for it .It has a data base searchable by surnames alphabetically |

I tried the GOV site for certificates and it asked for a personal reference, whatever that is. I have name, date, district and page no. Did not know what was meant by personal reference. So am off to the local Register office. |
