Ages on marriage certificate? 1862

Just a quick question, would the bride/groom's age appear on a marriage certificate in 1862? or would it say full age or minor etc |

All mine have said the atual date. Like Joan said, the actual ages are not always right. The youngest I have had in aged 17 years old, this was a women in 1871. |

With regard to Selena's query, could anyone please tell me at what age people could marry without parent's consent in the 1860s. |

We have certs. giving the ages of the bride and groom and also some which just state "of full age" or "minor". |

Thanks for the replies. Seems to be a mixture of full age or putting in the age that has been given (accurate or otherwise). I cannot find a birth reference for the bride in question. Although I have her on 51 and 61 censuses, I can't find a birth reference for her. |
