Military service in India and Germany

I have recently been lucky enough to find my grandfather's family. They tell me that, after the end of WW2, he continued his army service in Germany until around 1950. He was also in India for along time. |

According to his marriage cert, he was a Lance Sergeant with the Royal Artillery. His service number also appears on the cert. |

Thanks Jonesey, much appreciated. I will look into that. I was aware of the option to apply for the records but just wondered if there was any more information out there. |
