You can order filmed copies of parish records through your nearest LDS Family History Centre (addresses for these are on www.familysearch.org). |

Parish registers can be a long haul unless you are sure of the correct parish. |

I know I'm just guessing here and maybe getting ahead of myself but could this be James Spencer's marriage (it would fit with your grandfather being born 1908 and is in Hunslet registration district):- |

Thank you very much for all your replies, it is interesting that not all marriages etc have yet been transcribed, I ddint realise that, and the point about registry offices and council cems. |
