Many thanks to everyone. Sadly though I have found no info on John Wirthmiller my great grandfather. Not sure where to go from here! |

Eleanor and John were married in Alnwick in 1909, however I cannot find a record of them on the 1911 census?!!! |

My great grandfather John Wirthmiller married Eleanor Ames, not sure what year, and had 3 children, Denis, Eleanor and William (my grandfather). I know what year the children were born but cannot find anything about John Wirthmiller. I have been told that he came over from Austria in the early 1900's. |

Can anyone give me tips on how I trace the Wirthmiller family from Austria. I don't know of an Austrian BMD site. My great grandfather and possibly some members of his family came to England at the beginning of the 1900's. They do not appear on 1901 census. |
