Does any one know what information is available on court records. I know my great grandmother was sentenced to six months in 1906. She was born in 1863 in Scotland (no registration) married in 1883 in England. She gives her father's occupation and name on her marriage certificate but it is definately not him. I have her on the 1881 census with a sister born in 1872 called Susan but there is no registration for her. Would this not have been illegal. Apart from the 1881 census Susan is a Godparent twice but I can find no marriage or death. Hardly any information given has been truthful. I'm gutted as it seems I have drawn a blank only as far back as 1863. |

Sorry Gwen being dopey as ever. I have a Susan Kelly in 1881 Census living with her mother Mary and sister Mary. She is also a Godmother twice for sister Mary's children. I cannot find her BMD. Even spent the day going through Parish records to see if I could find a baptism, but could find nothing which is unusual as they were Catholics. |

Apols for the delay in replying. Thanks for that information about registration in Scotland. In later census Mary juniors place of birth Kelso, Northumberland. I have tried looking for Mary Kelly born Kelso, Scotland but have come up with nothing. |
