Queenie is a name in its own right, so check that first. It is sometimes also used as a nickname for someone who has the same name as the current Queen (so that would be Elizabeth now, though presumably Victoria before 1901). |

Of no relevance, but when I was a kiddie, under 5, our dog was called Queenie and I loved her to bits. She had been a "working dog", rabbitting etc, but once retired she became a house dog, and my best friend. |
