hi the brides father had died when she was young. the names on the 1891/1901 census for thorn street have no connection with either family and sarah wouldnt have been working away as she lived with her widowed mother and younger siblings so i have no idea as to why oldham. there must be a connection the oneill family but i dont know what |

netty thanks so much i have taken a look but still no clues different person at no 3 but dont think there is any connection and number 11 is still an empty house? i will have to see if anyone has access to the electrol roll for 1895/96/97 for thorn street oldham |

managed to sus it this time and it was thomas leyland and family at 3 thorn street and 11 thorn street was empty will try 1901 census |

Thorn St. Oldham. Not sure what Surname you are searching for ??. If you follow Jonesy's instructions useing information below it will take you to Thorn St 1891. It may well continue, there are 53 districts in total ! |

thanks everyone sorry i didnt get right back but had a visitor. his wife came from leigh . he was 21 and she was 19. there has always been a bit of a family rumour that grandads family came from oldham but never been able to find any connection . he was born in leigh and his parents in ireland. grandad gave the address 3 thorn street oldham and grandma 11 thorn street oldham although both sets of families came from leigh and are on all census as leigh lancashire |

There are so many enumeration districts in Oldham that I couldn't face looking at every description on Ancestry looking for the street. |
