Do you know the fathers name? If so then you can ask for a name check. It costs a bit more but the GRO will only issue the cert if it matches, otherwise you get a partial refund. |

Can you find said Charles marriage? Take it you are working backwards? The marriage cert will give the fathers name and occupation and also that of his bride. The residence, his age, his occupation and the names of the witnesses. |

Hi have found father's name - William but don't know mother. Can't find marriage that matches up. Too common a name I suspect. Thank you all any way |
