What is the index quarter & district? Maybe we can look for the possible grooms. |

You don't need to order all the marriage certs until the correct one arrives, |

Sue, I have found her on 1851 living at home with mum, dad and younger brother. 1861 is where she vanishes. I can't find a death either. |

Jill I'm not sure if I'm going quicker with my search or my brains (or lack of them), |

Did she have children? Although if you're not sure who she married that may seem a daft question. |

Thanks for your reply Jill & Victoria, it had crossed my mind to try the census but there were so many Elizabeth's and if I go for the husbands name I don't know his DOB so once again throws up so many. |

Depending when it happened you could look in the next available census to see if you can spot them - if you know a birthplace, age etc you might be able to narrow it down that way. This doesn't always work but sometimes it does. |

I have found possible marriages for my rellie on FreeBMD, trouble is each has a possibility of two grooms. Is there a way to find out of the two males who married who thus giving me a choice of three marriages rather than six or have I got to order all the marriage certs. until the correct one turns up. |
