The Irish GRO moved from Dublin to Roscomon a few years ago and the Lombard St office closed at the same time. All communications should be addressed to this address.

However, there is a genealogical/family history research facility at 3rd Floor, Block 7, Irish Life Centre, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1, where the indexes can be examined in person.

Hi Bridget

Just copied this of the GRO web site

Our records of marriages other than Roman Catholic marriages date back to 1st April 1845 . Records of Births, Deaths and Roman Catholic Marriages date back to 1st January 1864

you can also print a form off to fill in and fax back to order cert

hope it helps.

whilst I cannot confirm the address I would like to know if they respond to Faxes and how far back the records go. I have just had a breakthrough on Farrelly and Keegan and O'Sullivans from the 1911 census.
Good lock
