A friend has an ancestor who apparently had close links with Kier Hardy. Do any of you good people have an idea about how I may find out any information on this fo her? |

Kier Hardy was a big name in the union movement and the founder of the Labour Party. |

Just came across this thread by chance and had to tell you that I live in a road called Keir Hardie Way in Essex.....apparently it was named after him as he was offered a Labour seat in West Ham in the late 1800's......thought you might be interested to know! :) |

there is also an estate in East London, Custom House area, not far from the Excel exhibition centre named after Keir Hardie , many of the estate road names were drawn from those of war victims,, many of them ARP wardens and volunteer firemen etc....... |

Thank you all for your help and sorry for delay in replying. My friend doesn't have any specific information on her ancestor's link with Hardy; only rumours in family. Will google him and investigate links with East London. |
