What other names could Minnie be short for??? What's any one else discovered? So far i've come up with Willamina or Wilhelmina which hasn't yielded any results..... Any ideas? |

I think I came across a Marian in my tree (sometimes noted down as Mary Ann!) who called herself Minnie. |

My wife's grandmother's name was recorded as Miriam at her birth but throughout her life she was known as Minnie - and this included all official records too. |

Thats really kind Gwyn, what do you mean by pm? I don't know all that much about her to be honest....apartf rom on the 1911 census her age (in April) is 19 her given name is Minnie Marden and that she was born at saltwood, her mother's name is Kate and i'm expecting her to be illegitimate and her mothers surname is probably Marden too. Any details you could find would be fantastic- Thank you! |
