I am looking for Mary Maud Martin (she later was known as Maud) who married George Francis Vinall in 1906, in Swanley, Kent.
Her father is on her wedding cert as John William Martin, Labourer, address 4 Liley Cottages, Montague Road (I presume Swanley, Kent)
I cannot find Mary Maud before her marriage - any help would be appreciated.
Is there a way a search can be made on the address?

Try looking on /www.freebmd.org.uk
There are some births for Mary Maud Martin and one in particular 3rd quarter of 1874 in Gravesend.
There are others too, but this one stood out as it was in Kent.

Thanks for that, the only problem I have with that is I have her death cert in 1960 and it says she was 75. Did they guess the age for the death certs? Her daughter was the informant.

Have you tried finding them in 1911? Then you'd get a place of birth.

1911 has her born c1885.

I never thought to look at the witnesses. Yes Kate must be a sister. I now feel a step closer. have found them on the 1911 and Maud says she was born Bermondsey, Kent.
