Hope this is what you mean. Suppose you have an ancestor who lived in a workhouse and you wanted to find out more , ..... this is only an example..... enter the word workhouse in inverted commas......"Workhouse" then suppose you knew the area where the workhouse was...eg... Holmfirth........ this is what you would put into your search engine |

I usually google the ancestors name plus place or occupation. For example, googling the name and village of one of my ancestors found me a photograph of him that I had never seen! |
