You don't need to defrag weekly. In fact unless you regularly load and delete lots of files it is only necessary to defrag every six - twelve months. |

The improvement you've gotten was probably at least partly due to the fact that your files were probably defragged during the compression. Follow Judy's advice, and defrag regularly. I've somehow managed to schedule a weekly defrag (for Thurs 4:00 am). |

Now that you learned to do DISK SCAN make sure that you follow up by DEFRAGGING your PC - also found under SYSTEMS TOOLS. It's should be done on occasion to clean up your PC and keep it running smoothly. |

No need to do anything, as Windows handles it for you automatically. DO NOT DELETE as you will loose your data. |

I´ve learnt to do Disk Clean up and now it says I have 2,615,710 compressed files. Is it okay just to delete these, seems an awful lot to keep, but would hate to delete all my gen...lol. |
