Yes, most definitely, the 6 yr. old is Eliza. That's why I never use the transcribed version, always go to the original. |

Not necessarily - the husband might well have "adopted" them. That's what happened with my two Hannahs - threw me for a while too! |

Well I have a family with an Eliza and an Elizabeth and I think some children were occasionally given the same name. |

I have found a 1861 census for my family and there are two children with the name Ellen though the age is about a year apart. |
