Hi
Is any one else having the same problem as myself.
When i first log onto ancestry everything is fine, then with in half an hour it then slows down to a snails pace.
This is becoming very annoying as i want to spend a lot of time on there because i am trying to do my brother in laws family tree for his mother.

I have had this problem for about a week, which i find ironic as 4 weeks ago i up graded my membership to worldwide.
Beginning to regret that.

Megs i wish that was my only problem, as it is currently taking about a minute for every page to load.
Sorry for your problem though.

hi all
I emailed ancestry about these problems about a week ago -
they are sorry for any inconvinience and are aware that there are problems!
They said when it shows 'no records' keep clicking the search button - it should work after a while

Yup - it has got sluggish lately and with some niggling problems as mentioned. I always maintain it's the damn annoying flash adverts that slow things down so much. Maybe Ancestry and other sites are paid to slow things down so that people will look at the adverts out of boredom if nothing else. lol

Why not use IE8, or better still, Firefox with Adbock plus?

Works for me.

Kate Report 27 Nov 2008 23:45

Does anyone have trouble with Firefox sort of freezing? Only ask because it seems to go through phases with me where it'll work and then, for no obvious reason, any hyperlinks stop responding when I click them and/or the "normal" webpage doesn't come up but instead I see a sort of Word document type of screen with no graphics and just plain text.

I don't know if it's just my Mac, though. It's not old and I always thought Firefox was supposed to be recommended with Macs.
