Finding a wife's name

Hi, I have an Alfred Keen married 1873 in Holborn
the ref is 1st quater 1b 761
But there is no wife reference... can anyone tell me how to find who he married?

No... don't think it can be the right one then I do now that he married an Esther or Ester, around that time.
Thanks anyway... was sure that was going to be the one ;o(
How do you cross reference if there is no name ?

Look for him on the FREE 1881 census..............his wife's first name will be recorded on there.........

Where did you find the wife's first name? Was it on a census?

Thanks but It is not that simple... The wife is there Ester Keen with the children lillian and john I think it was John but he is not cant find him anywhere. we do not know her maiden name so have been looking for the marriage to find that out. getting really confused with this
