i have a marriage for a martha mouthorp b 1836 drypool yorkshire as spelt on her cert to william warrener, i have found her on family search with father john mother anne, but i am stuck there, can anyone help.

sorry margaret & mixyboy i think your on the wrong track with the kirby grindalyth, on family search she was born, drypool hull yorkshire 1836. thanks clw2005 thats seams to be the right martha is there any more, could there be a name change somewhere

I would suggest Dean that you puchase the marriage cert rather than assume that IGI one is yours

Not a name 'change', as I explained on your other thread.......just a different way of interpreting what was 'heard'..............you always have to be flexible about spelling.

when i text that i was confirming the marriage. the next text came very quick and it seamed i was confirming mowthorpe. clw2005 your right i have got the marriage cert and her fathers name is john, occupation, blacksmith.

Hi again Dean,
I've searched the images of the 1841 census for Drypool (8 districts, 75 pages)
Nothing that remotely looks like Mouthorp!
There are two blacksmiths - one called Pearson - one called Webster
Your John, (we think) had a daughter, Ann christened in Drypool in May 1841 -
Census I believe was taken in June -
So maybe they went away between those dates??
