IGI - Do you think this is odd?

Some batch #s are one sex (J/K) - it's very unusual for this to happen in C's (but as you've seen, it does happen). |

Some times they are arranged this way. I was recently going through the baptisms at East Tisted, Hampshire to pick my rellies out and the batches are arranged like that too, one holds the females other the males. I doubt the original registers were arranged such, for some reason whoever at IGI transcribed the film has done this I think. |

I have come across that before where the batch only has male or female christenings. I don't know why and I can't remember where it was but am fairly sure it was not Wisbeach. |

Thanks Hilary, but no - I was doing a search for somebody on a thread on here. Very frustrating not being able to find the men! |

Hi Potty, does seem strange, not sure why that has happened. Do you want to find someone in Wisbech. |

Whilst doing a search on the IGI I have come across this batch C021889 for Wisbeach, Cambridgeshire which only seems to have female baptisms. Pages and pages and not one male name! I have tried using the batch numbers either side and nothing at all comes up. |
