Don't know about Ireland, but in England and Wales the age at which you could get married with parental consent was 12 for girls and 14 for boys right up until 1927 (although very few actually did marry this young). |

I have found a couple on the 1911 irish census for Dublin I know to be my husband's great grandparents. It states they were both 35 and had been married for 20 years. |
