Genuki.org.uk is great for maps, old and new. Just type in the town and up they come. |

Oldmaps UK have, generally around 1880s along with the present day map. |

Also try the relevant county RO/society to see whether they have maps (eg Lancashire has a good series). |

Not sure where about the DO is that you are referring to but it is often used in place of ditto, meaning 'the same as the one above'. |
