You'd really need to obtain the second marriage certificate to see what it says. I would imagine that there would be a reference to marriage no 1 if it was done legitimately which would give you a timescale to search. |

My great aunt was married in 1925 in London to a shipping representative (marriage certificate obtained). But I know that her husband just disappeared one day. Naughtily (!) she re-married before the 7 years were up before he could be declared dead. |
