The adoption could have taken place near to where she was born. However the older she was when adopted the higher the likelihood that her christian names weren't changed. I hope for your sake she had at least a first and middle name. Then it could be just a matter of waiting for freebmd to transcribe her birth year! |

On her adoption certificate it has her birth date and her adoption place and date |

Rebekah,My mum was adopted in 1933 and mum has told us everything and we have seen her real birth certificate.My mum met with all her brothers and sisters.My mum did apply to see her adoption file,but was told she had to see a social worker first.My mum knows all the details of why she was adopted as she was told by all her siblings.What mum will not do is see that social worker as she was adopted 73 years ago and she does not need councelling.Without her doing this,means that we can not ever find out either. Unless you know her birth name it will be pretty difficult to try and discover anything much. |

My grandma was adopted back in 1932 I have a copy of her adoption certificate and have also have the marriage certificate for her adoptive parents. |
