Hi, Just wondering whether any of you have come across the surname Blunsdon in your family tree? I am struggling to understand the reasoning behind an ancestor of mine giving their children Hebrew names when the father was certainly not of Hebrew/Jewish descent. The children were called Zipporah, Zerah, Enoch, Nahum and Huldah. I am now wondering whether the mother's maiden name 'Blunsdon' had any Jewish connections. Would love to know if any of you have come across any of these names and/or know anything about their origin? Many thanks. Nicky |

During the mid 1800's it was quite fashionable to give children Old Testament names. |
