i can't be at all sure this is the right william.. the only thing which makes me think this could well be him is his occupation (infirmary porter)/// because on annies marriage cert he is attendant at asylum.

and it still leaves me without knowing any more about annie to order her birth cert.

and also he must have died between 1901 and 1903 as he is deceased on the cert ... and i can't seem to find his death either

Can you put up the 1901 details for William (I don't have ancestry). Hopefully someone can track him through the census to throw some light on this.

Do you know when and where William was born and who he married and when?

thanks selena ..

i have my GGM's birth cert .. (annie emily warner is her mother on that)

i also have annie's marriage cert to sidney kidney (she is annie emily on that too

but i can't find annie's birth or death on freebmd or ancestry

the only other info i have is annie emilys fathers name on the marriage cert .. william warner deceased in 1903 , occupation attendant at asylum

Selena in South East London Report 24 Aug 2008 13:12

I wonder if these are her children? Kidney surname, mother's maiden name Warner. Milton is in Kent.

Births Mar 1912
Kidney Elsie Warner Milton 2a 1922

Births Jun 1916
Kidney William J Warner Milton 2a 1942

You could think about getting a child's birth certificate to make sure that she is Annie Emily and not Emily Anne or something similar.

I have a couple of aunts and a nan who have their names the wrong way round.

my GGGM's name was annie emily WARNER

she married sidney walter KIDNEY in november 1903 in fulham . london

her age on the marriage cert is 21

fathers name, william warner, deceased at time of marriage . occupation "attendant at asylum"

i am wondering if perhaps her age given is fabricated because i have only found one birth for annie emily warner in lewisham , but would have made her 16 in 1903

my GGM was born in june 1904 so presumably annie was already pregnant when she got married!

Hi again

I had a look on the other board...
There is this on

Births Mar 1844 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KING Emma Clutton 11 115

This is Hlinton Blewett in Somerset...does yhis match with what you think?

In the 1851 census the father is James...occupation Farmer owning land and employing 6 men....does it match with the marriage cert at all....situatiion may have changed of course...

thanks for reply joan..

i haven't been able to find her definitavely on any census (i have found a couple of possibles, but nothing i'm sure about .. the last time i thought i was sure i ended up with several generations of the wrong family!! so this time i want to do it right

I know she was married in fulham in 1903 , but her husband was from kent

Joan Report 24 Aug 2008 08:59

Hi Sandra...you would need to know fairly accuratley where she was born. What is the earliest census you have found her in....sorry I didn't see your earlier enquiry...

i wonder if anyone can tell me if i can order my GGGM's birth certificate when the only information i have is her name, age given at marriage; who, when and where she married and her fathers name and occupation?

i can't find any register of her birth or death , and i have asked on trying to find board but i'm not getting anywhere
