Mothers maiden names are included on all birth certificates, it is just the Indexes that didn't list them until 1911. |

Her mother's maiden name will be on the certificate, but it doesn't show up on the indexes until around 1911. |

I am trying to find out my great grandmothers surname, i was going to get a copy of my grandmothers birth certificate who was born in 1894 but read that mothers maiden name would not be on the cert as this didn't happen untill 1911. i would appriciate any advice. |
