He should still be listed on the census, even if he was in Prison. |

I've only checked the census lists for Nottinghamshire though and presumably he could have been sent to another county? |

He could well be in prison in another county. The problem is that quite often, prisoners were only listed by their initials and not their full names, same for patients of some hospitals, inmates at asylums etc. |

His name is Henry Whittington and he was born in 1826 (approx) in Sileby, Leics. He just appears to have vanished around 1855! |
