I watched that programme too.....I think if he HAD been adopted he would have been able to inherit from his adoptee parents to the same degree as a natural - born child of his adopted parents' marriage. |

Legally he is the son of his adopted parents, ie the 1st Mrs X, and under inheritance laws he would not be considered the son of the new Mrs X unless she adopted him. |

i would say a bit of both because if it was a legal adoption then Miss Y has given up her legal rights to the child so Mrs X ( the first one) is the childs mother. |
