Sue it was probably an industrial schoool where they trained girls to be domestic servants |

The enumerator has added a large bracket and the word Dom. ...so probably a school for teaching domestic skills. |

Looking at it, I read it as "training school" and "being trained". |

I have a Maria Bridgeford in the 1891 census who is described as living at 88 Fawcett Street (Girls Haming School) with an occupation Being Named. Even Google doesn't know what a Haming School is. The actual document is not easy to read and the words may have been wrongly transacribed. Does anybody have the faintest idea what it all means. |
