it means that he was later adopted the birth cert you see is his original birth cert |

The birth certificate would only give details of the child being registered, so there would be no mention of any siblings. The birth certificate you have gives the birth (pre adoption details). |

Great Thanks, That is as i thought. How would I go about traking down his post adoption details? is that even possible?? |

No Kim sadly its not possible for you to be privvy to any information regards the person adoption information,,only an adoptee can apply for this, |

If this was your grandfather's child and he remarried it could mean that the newly weds adopted him as a couple.? |

When the first child of some friends was born she registered the birth by herself and because he wasn't present at the time of registration to verify he was the father he had to adopt his own child |

As you are a relative of the adopted child you could try norcap.org.uk, they are a contact register for adopted children and their relatives, they MIGHT be able to help you, you will have to pay to go on the register about £30.00 a few years ago. |
