I have James and Jane (nee Pollard) Lunn as parents of Thomas Henry Lunn b 1863 in Brighton. By 1869 at christening for Thomas Henry, James was deceased. |

it looks as though the parent married some time before his birth - do you know the names of his siblings? |

I am thinking your Jane had a couple of daughters before she married - a Ruth and a Henrietta. They are both on 1851 census, with an unmarried mother Jane Pollard. |

Could it be mistranscribbed as Lund? |

Thanks, Selina, for suggestion that it cold be Lund - the only problem with this though is that if james Lunn (Lund) died in Dec 1/4 of 1869 it does not tie in with the fact that James Lunn, father of Thomas Henry was shown as deceased on Baptism cert dated May 30 1869. Address was 4 Codrington Place, church was St Paul's. |

The christening above in 1838 could be for James Lunn who married Jane Pollard in 1851. It seems to be a coincidence that both his mother and his wife are called Jane. Could be quite a late christening as well. |
