These were ordinary people in a fairly posh house. The servants had their whole names recorded, but the family were just one initial and surname. |

Having just wasted a long time looking for a family in the 1891 census (lots of unusual names like Bertram and Roland) - when I eventually found them, the person doing the census must have decided they were far too big a household - so only their initials got recorded! Makes searching for them very difficult! |
