Can anyone look up baptisum or any other info for John Gripton who I think was illigitimate as no fathers name apears on his marriage cert to Ann Burgess in 1838 he was living in Bromstead at the time of his marriage and was a servant but where? |

Hi there is not an age it just says of full age there were a lot of griptons in the area at that time so don't know how I will know |

Are there any witnesses on the marriage cert. One may be from his side of the family. |

The witnesses were name william ansell and joseph badger so don't know if they were relatives. I couldn't find them on the 1841 cencus although on 51,61 and71 he died in 1875 |
