I thought I had the service number, the year of death was correct. It came up as a match in an email this morning. Just read back on posts on this site and it seems most people got matches. |

Ancestry.co .uk have Service Records from ww1 on their site,,but subscription is needed to view them,,not all records did survive as caution,,but there could be a card--Medal Card as to what Medals he was awarded, |

I have managed to find my G grandfathers details on the Death records and now have his army rank, no. |
