Could anyone advise on a site for Boar War records

There isn't (as far as I know) one definitive site which lists all participants of the 2nd Boer War. |

I have been searching for the death of an ancestor of mine born 1871 whose wife was shown as a widow on the 1901 census. His last child was born 1898 and so I think he may have died between 1897 and 1901. I have searched Free BMD and ancestry but have not been able to find a record of his death and so I was wondering whether he may have served in the Boar War and died abroad. If someone could advise me where I could search for Boar War records it would be very much appreciated. |
