They may have been destroyed. I tried to get records of my stay in an isolation hospital in the 1960's - I knew I was in there, but no-one told my parents why - and was told they were destroyed after 25 years!!! |

It depends when they died, some records are 'closed' for 100 years although I got my g-grandads medical records from 1935. |
