I recently obtained a copy of an inquest in 1903 from the local archivist. I then got copies of newspaper reports at the time, from the local historain at the library. |

A short version of the inquest should be on the death cert. But I obtained my information for my great grandfather from the local newspapers. |

I was fortunate to obtain inquest reports from the records office in Ipswich, Suffolk, for dates in the 1870s. |

Where did the inquest happen?. I got some inquest papers dated from 1862 from Westminster archives for an incident that happened in the Strand. Find out where the nearest coroners court is and ask them. |

Many inquest reports haven't survived. Inquests were usually reported in the local newspaper so you are likely to have more luck finding that. |
