The index to recent marriages will be added to SP this year. The index to recent births and deaths was added last year. While you still cannot view the later certificates you can at least confirm events and order the certificates online. Might also be worth approaching the appropriate local Registrar, if known. |

Scottish Registrars are now part of DIGROS (Digital Imaging of the Genealogical Records of Scotland’s people), each register office has access to digitised images of bmd events from 1855 to 2006, in theory this allows any office to locate any image regardless of whether the event took place within their district or not. |
