just thought i would let you all no Louisa was,nt twin it seems the use to put the time them days and Rowland and Maria are,t twins either as he was 2yrs old and she was ababy just that they both got christern on the same day,so that solives that mistry

ive just found the marriage cert for Louisa Bonner and her sister Rhoda Bonner was one of the wittness and that was 1868

My sisters are twins. Just checked to see what the deal was, and they both have the same vol and page no's. Mind you, this was in 1963....

all on 1881 census

Maria 1842
but from Baptism index-county 1538-1851
Bonner Louisa parents William and Louisa thame 1837
Bonner Maria parents William and Louisa thame 1841
Bonner Rowland parents William and Louisa thame 1841

The twins would be shown in the quarter of registration....not birth month.
That's why some late November or December births are found in the March quarter of the following year.

It was explained to me that each registration districts entries are grouped into a big ledger.
The district information could come from many sub districts which made up the larger registration area.
Each quarter's total entries would be in a separate section and it is pure coincidence that the names and numbers sometimes match.

If there is a surname which is fairly common in a particular area, I suppose there is more chance of a name match.

Hi Elouise it could be as Louisa,s grandmother was Sarah ,i have the family on census somewere the only different is Sarahs not born in the same month as Louisa

have been in touch with GR and she is twin she said to look at findmypast as they have the full indexs,but im not subcriberd to them

In the early days of registration many of the Registrars recorded time of birth for everyone, so there may be no twin.
As they became more aquainted with the rules of form-filling, the time was usually only put on twin or other multiple births, in England and Wales.
Scotland always shows time, I believe.

i have her sister and brother both born in 1841 so i think they were twins unless the records are wrong,but will go and have alook to see if i can find out if she was twin

i have abirth cert of my g.grandmother it has born 8 sept at 10.oclock someone told me this was because she was twin but how do i go about finding out if that was so the year was 1837 thank you for any advice
