My grandfather John William Glover born 1889 in Grimsby Lincolnshire was found in the Cottage home of the Sculcoats Union in Hull Yorkshire, can anyone tell me if this was a childrens home or a work house as his mother Susanna was not listed as being with him. |

The Sculcoates Union workhouse did have a Cottage Home for children, but this didn't open until 1897. |
