trouble finding names in BMD index in Coventry

Hmm, that kind of explains things a bit. I guess they were from one family because every Wixon from Coventry was missing from the bmd index, and it appears there were a few of them. |

Both Wickson and Wickston are always a possibility with this name, but already tried and unfortunately not in this case. |

That's interesting. We have the deeds to our house in Coventry and the family that lived there for years was called Wigston, which I had never come across as a surname before. I'd have to go digging in the cupboard, but would be happy to do that for you, so PM me if you would like me to get all the details for you. I know there is a death certificate and I also recall that he was born after the 1901 census, cos I did have a look at the time. |
