Hi I'm trying to trace either the death or marriage of Effie Jane Thomas shown on the following census:

1881
Class: RG11; Piece: 482; Folio: 87; Page: 31; Line: ; GSU roll: 1341106.

1891
Class: RG12; Piece: 267; Folio 43; Page 17; GSU roll: 6095377.

1901
Class: RG13; Piece: 204; Folio: 147; Page: 2

I cannot seem to find any trace of her other than on the census and her birth.

Thanks for looking

Could she have moved to Devon? There is this marriage on the transcribed index:-

Name: Effie Jane Thomas
Year of Registration: 1905
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
District: South Molton
County: Devon
Volume: 5b
Page: 729

I notice she was living on her own means in 1901 so she could probably have afforded to move.

Where have you looked for her death? FreeBMD only goes up to about 1920.

If you don't know when she died, it could be any time up to about 1980, and it'll take you hours to trawl through the full index on Ancestry.

Hi
Thanks people - All possibilities.
I dont think she moved to Devon but again can't be sure.
I think Effie was a midget (well she's very small on photo's!) but dont think their life expectancy is shortened by much so Mary from Italy could be right and she could have died anytime between 1901 and 1980.....
