I know one of my ancestors died June 1837 and I think I have him on FreeBMD. Just what info was likely to be recorded on the cert please?. I have sent for it but can't wait for it to arrive. Hope it gives me age at death which will make it easier to confirm his birthdate. |

Di, Death certs give when and where died, age occupation, cause of death and person who registered death. The problem is the age on the cert is supplied by the person who informs of death, they may or may not know the DOB. |
