Johnathon - it might be worth trying the local cemetary office. Cardiff (where i was looking) has a list of stillborns and was able to give me details of the plot they were buried in. It might be a better option if you aren't sure - depending on if your local cemetary charge for this service? |

Do remember though that the baby had to be of 28 week gestation for a stillborn certificate to be issued. Before 28 weeks all that was needed was a certificate of burial/cremation. |

Yes, that is correct. my mum is still alive and they said it had to be my mum, they sent a form for my mum to fill in. it was quite easy to do, i then sent it off and i got the certificate shrtly afterwoods on behalf of my mum. (the stillborn was my sibling) |

is there anyone out there that has any ideas on how to find records on a stillborn baby as they dont appear on the death or birth register this would be much appreciated thanks |
